Feature-Boxes-3

Finding The Right Startup

Investing in early stage startups is a high risk. We make every effort to reduce that risk by conducting thorough due diligence. Additionally, we believe early stage startups should have grit. This is why we only allow startups with at least one core team member that is a veteran. We're also lucky to be based in the nations largest concentration of military personnel, San Diego county. We've teamed up with local securities attorneys and accountants to prepare local meetups and educate those interested in Equity Crowdfunding in order to raise awareness and provide opportunities for both startups and investors.

Investor User Experience

We've partnered with FundAmerica, an industry leader in SEC-compliant tools for tech driven securities offerings, and integrated their full-stack API. The investor dashboard is simple to use. Easily track investments made on our platform. We also made viewing campaigns a breeze by reducing the amount of clicks it takes  to view a campaigns video pitch.

Campaign Analytics For Issuers

After interviewing dozens of startup companies, we took their advice and implemented some common and proprietary analytic tools. Our mission is not only to support investors via due diligence, but to do our best to maximize campaign success. We'll accomplish this by providing analytic insights in order to allow issuers to utilize that data as needed to make campaign adjustments.

What is Regulation Crowdfunding and do I have to be an accredited investor to participate?

Bottom line, no, you do not have to be an accredited investor to invest under Regulation Crowdfunding.  In May of 2016, Title III of the JOBS Act came into effect which allows both accredited and non-accredited investors to invest in early stage startups through a regulated funding portal under Regulation Crowdfunding. This means anyone above the age of 18 years old can invest a certain amount per year based on your net worth or annual income. For more information, please visit the Securities Exchange Commission website for details. Also, we found CrowdWise to have some great information in getting investors started in Equity Crowdfunding .

The illustration below depicts a generalized Equity Crowdfunding process. VetFunder is the platform which facilitates communication between investor and issuer.
